Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team at WGNSTAR. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of client-owned fall protection equipment and sitewide anchor points to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with the Fab team to schedule inspections and maintenance activities that minimize disruptions to production.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs to develop and maintain a working knowledge of fall protection equipment and industry best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company, department, and area policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ability to lift at least 50 lbs, and ability to safely operate lifts and ladders.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrates professionalism and pride in work.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include walking up to 5 miles per day, standing for 8-10 hours at a time, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to work at heights, on a ladder, and in confined spaces is also required.
