Reports To: Director of Head Start and Director of Family Services
Job Goal:
To assist families in establishing and achieving self-sufficiency and stability objectives while connecting them to a range of services within the educational and community framework to enhance children's academic success.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate communication among school district programs, community organizations, educators, and families
  • Develop and implement referral systems and procedures to streamline service delivery in health, mental health, education, safety, housing, and employment
  • Encourage family participation and support in educational pursuits
  • Create inclusive services that reflect family diversity and a strengths-based approach
  • Coordinate overarching school goals and desired outcomes
  • Promote advocacy for social services by empowering families to advocate for their children
  • Establish and nurture proactive relationships with families
  • Conduct regular home visits to evaluate needs and leverage strengths
  • Ensure confidentiality in all service delivery documentation
  • Prepare reports and engage in professional development opportunities
  • Complete required medical physical examinations
Terms of Employment: This is a 10-month position with salary and work year determined annually by the Board of Education.
Required Testing: A pre-employment medical physical exam and essential functions test are mandatory.

Work Environment/Conditions:
Work is primarily indoors with minimal temperature fluctuations, occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals, moderate noise levels, and physical demands including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Evaluation: Performance evaluations will be conducted by the immediate supervisor utilizing the Family Services Evaluation Report.
