Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating advanced ultrasound equipment, positioning patients, and securing immobilization and support devices as needed. They will also be responsible for determining appropriate image scan techniques and positions for patients, as well as maintaining accurate patient records and performing clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate advanced ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
  2. Position patients and secure immobilization and support devices as needed.
  3. Determine appropriate image scan techniques and positions for patients.
  4. Maintain accurate patient records and perform clerical duties.
  5. Assist radiologists with ultrasound procedures, including advanced and specialty procedures.
  6. Adhere to all accepted safety standards and practices to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
  7. Maintain supplies and cleanliness for assigned room on a daily basis.
  8. Assure accuracy of exam performed and requisition.
  9. Perform quality control activities, respond to inquiries, and coordinate patient flow.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Sonography.
  • 1 year experience as a Sonographer preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIS system and basic knowledge of RIS systems.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to interact with customers from all levels.
  • Certified by Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS).
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints. They may be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases. The position requires the ability to lift and/or move patients, and to work rotating shifts any day of the week.

This position can recognize needs and behaviors of the following age groups: pediatric (newborn, toddler, school-age), adolescent, adult, older adult.
