Job Title: Branch Operations Specialist

The Branch Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the operational integrity and compliance of the branch, encompassing both sales and service functions. This position provides direction and leadership to the teller line, emphasizing superior customer service skills, achieving sales goals, and fostering teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the teller line, focusing on exceptional customer service skills.
  • Utilize sales techniques and coach colleagues to recognize customer needs and match them with the Bank's available products and services.
  • Perform typical teller duties and assist with platform needs as required.
  • Efficiently open basic new accounts and assist customers with routine account maintenance and servicing issues.
  • Process monetary transactions, including cashing checks, making deposits, selling monetary instruments, and buying/selling foreign currency.
  • Manage branch cash, ensuring it does not exceed the cash limit, and maintain an appropriate supply of money based on legal requirements and business demands.
  • Under dual control, manage vault cash and daily activity, balance the ATM daily, and ensure it remains stocked and operating.
  • Perform audits of negotiable instruments, cash drawers, and related logs to ensure adherence to defined policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Branch Manager to track, monitor, and follow-up on transaction processing errors impacting customer accounts.
  • Perform quality reviews of CTRs and Currency Exchange logs daily.
  • Adhere to the Bank's policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Be willing to work at other branch locations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and sales skills.
  • Strong operational and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and counsel employees.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, TellerInsight, and IBS Insight for Deposit Origination.
  • 3+ years of banking experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or Associates Degree preferred.
