Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation of Underground Utilities: Lay and install pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, water mains, and other underground utilities according to project specifications.
  • Excavation and Trenching: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
  • Pipe Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect pipes for defects, damages, or alignment issues during and after installation.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with crew to facilitate seamless workflow on the construction site.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pipe Layer or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with various types of pipes, materials, and installation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, heavy machinery, and equipment related to pipe laying.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling of materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Lifts, pushes, pulls, and carries heavy objects, machinery, and tools.
  • Works around vehicles and machinery with moving parts.
  • Exposed to exhaust fumes, gasoline, and diesel fuel.
  • May be exposed to harsh weather conditions.
  • May be exposed to loud noise.
