About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiographic Technologist or Sonographer to join our team at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality echocardiographic and non-invasive cardiologic examination services to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established operating procedures.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as health science, natural science, or nursing.
  • Registry with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS) or The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS) within one year of hire date.
  • Minimum one year of experience in adult echocardiography, with a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
