Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Hoffman & Hoffman Inc. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for designing and programming DDC Systems, creating project design packages, and programming data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage design projects, including collecting and completing project documentation, understanding project requirements, and collaborating with Sales and Management.
  • Prepare design packages, including wiring diagrams, sequence of operation, bill of materials, and valve schedules, in accordance with Division standard practices.
  • Coordinate the turnover of design packages to Project Management, including preparing project manuals, transferring unique project data, and reviewing project information.
  • Organize and manage programming projects, including analyzing programming workload timelines, understanding project requirements, and conferring with the programming and Ops management team.
  • Prepare programming projects, including creating DDC programs, documentation, and project displays, testing for proper operation, and organizing turnover to technicians.
  • Coordinate programming issues during construction, including completing DDC/display changes, assisting technicians with commissioning, and making site visits as needed.
  • Ensure proper system operability by assisting with onsite performance verification and verifying the system is functioning as designed.
  • Complete design and programming packages, including accepting project close-out packages, completing As-built documentation, archiving design backups, and distributing completed As-built documentation.
  • Maintain industry technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and maintaining knowledge on proper electrical and mechanical installation methods.
  • Will travel as needed to support high-profile customers with locations in multiple regions.
