Job Overview

Mesa Associates, Inc. is in search of a skilled Protection & Controls (P&C) Substation Engineer responsible for the design and verification of deliverables related to substation P&C design initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and revise panel front views, AC & DC elementaries, wiring diagrams, and yard equipment diagrams utilizing MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines while ensuring high-quality design outputs.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of designs produced by junior team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with client and national standards.
  • Engage in project scoping and estimating activities to align with client schedules and budgetary constraints.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and designers in their professional development.
  • Be prepared to travel and work overtime as necessary to meet project demands.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Electrical Substation P&C Design.
  • Experience in project scoping and estimating is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
  • Possession of or the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering License is highly desirable.
Location:

The selected candidate will be expected to work from designated offices or may have the opportunity for remote work arrangements based on qualifications.
