Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Care Associate to join our Cardiac Stepdown team at Mercy. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the highest level of wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the individualized care of patients, working under the direction of the RN or LPN.
  • Perform daily hygiene measures, routine daily activities, and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in admission, discharge, and transfer processes, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and their belongings.
  • Utilize good clinical judgment and effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient care delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum.
  • No previous experience required; Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program for new hires in Missouri.
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly, and stand and walk for prolonged periods.
