Responsibilities:
  • Pre-screen incoming driver candidate applications and prioritize qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Persuade qualified candidates to consider Covenant Logistics Group as their next employer by effectively communicating the opportunity and benefits of the organization.
  • Make and receive outbound and inbound calls to conduct phone interviews and pre-qualify applicants.
  • Minimize and eliminate disqualified applicants by conducting thorough background investigations and verifying qualifications.
  • Enter qualified leads into our applicant database and ensure all verification information is accurately and thoroughly entered.
  • Follow up with applicants to advise them of the progress of their application and schedule approved applicants to attend an Orientation.
  • Independently manage time and resources to meet specified performance standards for the assigned geography and/or business unit.
  • Document all recruiting activity and status of application in our ATS system.
  • Provide feedback weekly on lead numbers and quality and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
  • Attend and participate in company-related motivational and educational classes.
  • Touch all new applicants and reapplies within 24-36 hours and understand each job description and benefits/requirements for open jobs.
  • Consistently develop the inbound and outbound pipeline on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
  • A high level of computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and web-based databases and programs is required.
  • Organized and effective under pressure with a high level of accountability for results.
  • Self-motivated with sound reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers, and senior-level management.
  • Transportation industry experience and/or a working knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Sales or Telemarketing experience is preferred.

Covenant Logistics Group's compensation philosophy is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while considering individual factors such as performance, experience, level of responsibility, and longevity with the company.

The system will be objective and non-discriminatory. Pay Range: $40,000.63-$62,120.37.
