Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Chief People Officer is accountable for the comprehensive management, coordination, and assessment of the human resources operations, with the assistance of HR leadership and recruitment specialists.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and evaluates the hiring and recruitment procedures to attract, select, and maintain skilled personnel.
  • Formulates Human Resources policies, protocols, and initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to all labor laws and regulations.
  • Handles employee relations matters, collaborating with legal advisors on related concerns and litigations.
  • Offers support, expert advice, and guidance to management and staff on various personnel matters.
  • Consults with management and staff regarding the interpretation of organizational policies.
  • Conducts research, analysis, and provides recommendations on compensation, employee-related matters, benefits, and other HR issues.
  • Designs and executes HR strategies and systems that positively impact and align with the operational and growth objectives of SGA Youth & Family Services.
  • Manages the administration of employee benefits, including Group Benefits (Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 403(b), etc.).
  • Coordinates payroll and timekeeping processes.
  • Facilitates effective communication channels with employees.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a related master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in Non-Profit Human Resources is highly preferred.
  • SHRM certification or progress towards it is preferred.
  • Experience in Human Services and/or Community-Based Services is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity Payroll System or other HRIS platforms, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and project management software is preferred.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to cultural diversity are essential.
