4. Participate in the recruitment, disciplinary actions, and ongoing performance evaluations of nursing personnel.

5. Emphasize the significance of training requirements, ensuring all team members complete their training within designated timelines.

6. Assist the Patient Care Manager in achieving departmental objectives.

7. Provide insights for effective financial management within the department, ensuring prudent use of resources.

8. Optimize operational and human resource utilization to support departmental financial goals.

9. Facilitate communication across departments and disciplines to promote efficient operations and positive employee relations.

10. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards through established policies and practices, focusing on quality service delivery and patient safety initiatives.

11. Cultivate an environment that champions service excellence, serving as a role model for staff interactions with patients and families.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an advanced nursing degree required (or completion within two years).

Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, including one year in a leadership capacity or demonstrated leadership abilities. Nursing certification in leadership or a related specialty is preferred.

Licensure: Valid RN license in New York State and/or Connecticut, depending on the facility.

Physical Requirements: The role may require light physical effort, including standing, sitting, and occasional lifting.

Working Conditions: Occasional exposure to minor injuries or occupational hazards, necessitating appropriate precautions.
