As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating surgical cases for three physicians, ensuring seamless communication with hospitals, patients, and primary care physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative surgical appointments and procedures, including date, procedure, time, equipment, and supplies needed.
  • Analyze and verify coding of procedures and diagnosis using ICD and CPT codes.
  • Bill insurance companies for hospital, office, nursing home, and other provider services.
  • Consult with the Compliance Department on billing issues.
  • Enter data electronically to process charges, payments, denials, and adjustments.
  • Monitor claims for missing information and authorization/control numbers.
  • Resolve routine patient billing inquiries and problems.
  • Review billing in all sites for accuracy.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Physician Practice Surgical Coordinator, including utilizing an EMR system.
  • Knowledge of insurance and verification processes.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
