The Home Lending Officer role at Citigroup Inc. is a dynamic position that requires a professional with a strong understanding of mortgage sales and customer service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for originating high-quality residential real estate loans for clients, driving mortgage sales, and building strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other referral sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with customers to understand their financial situation, goals, and lending needs.
  • Analyze financial information to assess whether customers and properties qualify for specific lending solutions.
  • Make recommendations to customers on suitable lending solutions and advise them on the consequences, risks, and benefits of alternative options.
  • Promote Citi's brand and financial services to real estate agencies, builders, and other referral sources.
  • Visit customers outside of Citi's offices to build relationships and drive mortgage business.
  • Work with internal partners to support and grow customers, and refer customers seeking financial services other than lending solutions to appropriate Citi professionals.
  • Partner with Operations teams to ensure seamless loan application processing and closing.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of referral relationships to drive mortgage business.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in the local marketplace and industry regulations.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in mortgage sales or a related field.
  • 3+ years of previous mortgage sales experience required.
  • Residential mortgage experience required.
  • Established book of business and proven product sales capability.
  • FHA/VA and conventional loan experience preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives.
  • Strong customer service and relationship development skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.
Education

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
