Central Patient Access Representative

The Central Patient Access Representative serves as the ambassador of service, setting the standard for quality care at OakBend Medical Center. This role is the first point of contact for patients and guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless registration process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and provide timely and accurate registrations
  • Obtain demographics information, verify benefits, and calculate patient payments
  • Transfer patient services, provide insurance clearance, and manage bed control
  • Cross-train to cover various positions in the Main Admission Department
  • Provide patient education and authorizations for approved physicians
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED; relevant experience considered
  • Previous business office experience of 1-5 years
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and typing speed of 35 words per minute
