Job Summary
The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time, temporary adjunct faculty position in Physics/Astronomy. This is an ongoing recruitment, and applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean, helping students achieve their academic potential, assessing student learning outcomes, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of your teaching field. You will also be expected to continue your professional development, utilize current technology, and adhere to professional conduct and ethics standards.

The instructional assignment may encompass teaching courses across all levels in Physics/Astronomy, including conceptual physics, basics physics, and general physics. Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a master's degree in Physics, Astronomy, or Astrophysics, or a bachelor's degree in Physics or Astronomy and a master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Meteorology, or Geophysics. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by the time of hire. You must also have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
