- Work alongside maintenance teams to establish effective operational and maintenance strategies.
- Champion safety, health, and environmental initiatives across the site.
- Assist in setting strategic direction and objectives for the production department.
- Review and approve operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Lead investigations related to safety, quality, and process incidents.
- Drive process technology improvements and cost-saving initiatives, focusing on uptime, cycle time, yield, and waste reduction.
- Participate in capital improvement projects, leveraging engineering expertise for design and implementation.
- Function effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Maintain specifications for products and raw materials, ensuring compliance and qualification of new materials.
- Regularly monitor processes to identify opportunities for improvement using statistical analysis tools.
- Provide technical support to various teams including maintenance, accounting, and product development.
- Collaborate with sister companies to standardize operations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and chemical engineering principles, as well as process safety management.
- Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and familiarity with Root Cause Analysis.
- Ability to understand and apply manufacturing best practices to support operational efficiency.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with SAP and statistical analysis tools.
