Overview

Through our D'Addario Foundation, we support music education and under-served communities. We're seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our team at our Promark drumstick facility in Houston, TX.

The Manufacturing Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the production team and the Plant Manager, ensuring production, personnel, and financial goals are met. They will maintain adherence to processes and standards for safety, quality, production levels, inventory control, and human resources. The Manufacturing Manager will also implement decisions regarding disciplinary action and company personnel policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workflow by monitoring production steps, setting processing variables, and observing control points and equipment.
• Review production goals with plant management and peers, establishing plans to achieve them.
• Actively monitor production, inventory, and quality levels, ensuring direct reports are working as directed and performing as intended.
• Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, and budgetary and personnel requirements.
• Support and embrace Company's Lean Initiatives, actively participating in the Company's Lean transformation.
• Coach and monitor Production Team to ensure equipment is properly set up to produce error-free, quality products according to plan and established standards.
• Meet with Production Team Leads daily to discuss, review, and take action on production, personnel, quality, material, and other pertinent issues.
• Interface with Quality Assurance, Planning, and Inventory Control regarding quality, material, and order requirements.
• Participate in the selection, hiring, training, discipline, and termination of employees, using company guidelines and with advance knowledge of and approval by Senior Manufacturing Management and Human Resources.
• Solicit, relay, and support the implementation of ideas from Production Team to improve productivity.
• Interface with Maintenance Department to implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
