Job Title: Manufacturing Plant ManagerJob Summary

Headworks International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all daily activities within the plant, ensuring the achievement of planned objectives, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a zero-injury work culture and ensure the safety of all employees.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve quality and output goals.
  • Supervise employee workstations and investigate potential equipment defects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain quality standards.
  • Coordinate planning with Region personnel and/or Manufacturing center.
  • Develop and implement procedures to control processes and product quality.
  • Provide supervision for direct and dual report functions.
  • Effectively liaise with sales, shipping/receiving and quality functions.
  • Identify major cost drivers and work to minimize them.
  • Establish shift production schedules and ensure they are met.
  • Manage operating budgets to improve planned objectives.
Requirements
  • A completed bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
  • 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce.
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
  • Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
  • 4 years sheet metal experience.
  • 4 years welding experience.
  • Experience with Sand blasting or glass bead blasting a plus.
  • Experience with non-pressure vessels a plus.
  • Experience with rotating equipment manufacturing a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field and MBA preferred.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
  • Interest in long-term career development through the growth of Headworks International.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish).
