Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our office space. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for our staff, volunteers, and guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, including interior and exterior spaces, walkways, stairways, common areas, and parking lots/structures.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in a commercial setting, including dusting, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning windows and glass surfaces.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and trash receptacles.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces as needed.
  • Familiarize yourself with safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Experience and Skills:
  • A minimum of 1 year of janitorial/custodial experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to complete daily assignments.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Education and Training:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
