Position Overview:
The Bulk Material Handler is responsible for executing essential tasks related to the management of bulk materials within the facility. This role involves sampling, monitoring, and the loading/unloading of materials from trucks and railcars, as well as overseeing tank levels and transferring materials within the tank farm on a daily basis.

Work Schedule:
This position operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule, reflecting the continuous nature of refinery operations, which may require working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation:
Starting pay is $26 per hour, with additional shift differentials available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate powered fork trucks while adhering to load limits.
  • Monitor tank levels and manage inventory transfers as necessary.
  • Oversee incoming trucks delivering various materials.
  • Supervise outgoing trucks transporting products.
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading processes are followed.
  • Conduct maintenance and housekeeping tasks as directed.
  • Train relief personnel on operational procedures.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in safety training and maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Report incidents and maintain a focus on environmental protection.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties and use basic tools as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:

  • Experience in a refinery or chemical plant environment.
  • Basic computer skills for operational tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
