Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) role at MaineHealth is a dynamic position that requires a friendly and courteous demeanor. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and performing general office duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, and enter patient data while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to federal, state, and MaineHealth policies.
  • Utilize computer experience to efficiently manage patient information and perform data entry tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred.
  • One year of experience in customer service or data entry in a healthcare environment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with healthcare billing and diagnostic coding.
