Position Overview

Utilize your keen attention to detail as a Client Relations Specialist with a leading organization in environmental and regulated waste management solutions.

As part of a dedicated team comprising customer experience, sales, and compliance professionals, you will take charge of coordinating waste disposal requirements in line with service agreements. You will play a crucial role in the customer experience team, providing support to clients, internal operations, finance, logistics, and field personnel to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Exhibit a high level of customer service expertise developed through extensive experience.
  2. Manage and identify customer needs while responding to a significant volume of communications via email and phone, navigating multiple systems for effective resolution.
  3. Oversee multiple customers assigned to your roster, including communication and logistical activities; prepare and review orders for accuracy based on client contracts, ensuring correct pricing and invoicing.
  4. Collaborate with the sales team to enhance revenue growth for your assigned accounts, engaging in various sales-related activities to support your account roster.
  5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to delegate tasks to the appropriate departments.
  6. Maintain comprehensive and updated customer records.
  7. Compile client profiles by gathering information and assigning codes, utilizing basic knowledge of MSDS and hazardous waste coding and disposal regulations.
  8. Manage all case-related tasks associated with your assigned accounts.
  9. Conduct research and collaborate across functions to resolve or escalate issues.
  10. Regularly review, analyze, and prepare reports on the status of customer orders.
  11. Initiate proactive communication with existing customers to ensure ongoing engagement.
  12. Provide management with feedback on strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in meeting customer needs.
  13. Maintain regular contact with personnel across various departments, including billing, collections, sales, drivers, transportation facilities, and information services.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in account management or customer service, or a high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience in a customer service or account management role.
  • Strong customer service and business acumen.
  • Self-motivated, capable of managing multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience with CRM systems or web-based applications, preferably Salesforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a strong focus on detail accuracy and effective phone communication skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, environmental studies, or biology.
  • Experience in waste characterization, handling logistics, and profiling, with familiarity in EPA/RCRA and DOT regulations.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Ariba, or Oracle systems.
  • Experience in administering and reviewing service contracts.
  • Ability to lead account-specific projects.
