Arvato is seeking a skilled Hardware Development Engineer to join its team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom hardware solutions that support our reverse logistics refurbishment processes and test networks.

About the Role

  • Estimated salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
  • This role involves working independently to develop hardware components, construct housings and functional components, and provide layout for electronic circuits.
  • You will also be responsible for programming control electronics and developing hardware-related software.
  • In addition, you will participate in the continuous development, optimization, and testing of devices.
  • Maintaining test hardware, including steppers/servos/controllers, linkages/arms/actuators, microcontrollers, Arduino, raspberry pi, Linux commands, is another critical aspect of this role.
  • You will have the opportunity to travel outside the US as needed to work on project teams.

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you should have an associate's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
  • Broad-based basic electrical engineering knowledge, sound specialist knowledge in analogue and digital technology, embedded microcontrollers, and EMC-compliant design and layout are essential.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and firmware development is highly desirable.
  • Additionally, you should possess analytical skills, creativity, passion for development, initiative, strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to the needs of the departments.
  • CAD skills, particularly with Fusion 360, and MS office products are also necessary.
