Job Title: Financial Operations Manager Senior

First Horizon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager Senior to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of financial operations professionals, ensuring high performance and adherence to operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of financial operations professionals, ensuring high performance and adherence to operational standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with front office, middle office, IT, and compliance teams to streamline processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to determine areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Manage relationships with external custodians, counterparties, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Lead and support projects aimed at process automation and system enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in fixed income operations within a financial services company.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Operations, Including systems and products.
  • Excellent oral, written communication skills and people skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional PC skills including proficiency financial software and systems such as Bloomberg, FIS, DTCC, Broadridge, and (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Prefer at least 10 years of operations experience including management experience.
  • FINRA Series 99, or the ability to obtain within 120 days (as required by FINRA), plus additional licensing as required.
  • Preferred FINRA Series 7, 53 and 24 licenses.
