Adjunct Instructor, Photography

Laramie County Community College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach photography courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the college's photography program.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Teach assigned classes as per course plan and schedule, meeting required contact hours, and providing a current course plan for each course taught.
- Curriculum Development: Maintain and adapt curriculum that is current, effective, and appropriate to course and program competencies.
- Instructional Delivery: Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success, incorporate current subject matter expertise into instruction, and utilize varied learning activities to maximize student engagement and success.
- Assessment of Student Learning and Continuous Improvement: Support student learning with timely and ongoing feedback on progress and provide assistance towards meeting the course competencies.
- Communication: Utilize LCCC email accounts to communicate with students, colleagues, and supervisors, and respond to students in a timely manner.
- Education and Experience: Master's degree in Art, Communication, Media, or a related field, and 18 graduate credits in one of the following subject areas: Broadcasting, Journalism, Mass Communication with emphasis on Print/Radio/Television Media, Mass Media Ethics, Digital Imaging, Photography, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Illustration, Multimedia Technology, New Media Design, and Video, or Master's in any field and a professional photography credential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree in academic field from a regionally accredited institution, one year of experience with web-based learning management systems, and two or more years of college-level teaching experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with students, colleagues, and supervisors, and will be required to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
