Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee student conduct and ensure adherence to school regulations regarding the student code of conduct.
- Address and mediate conflicts among students, escalating issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
- Investigate reports of disturbances or violations to maintain a secure environment.
- Manage traffic flow and parking on school premises.
- Keep accurate records of student vehicle registrations.
- Document incidents of vandalism, accidents, and prepare reports related to theft.
- Collaborate with law enforcement as required.
- Guide and escort students, authorized visitors, and others to designated areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points of individuals as needed.
- Utilize detection devices to screen individuals and belongings, preventing the entry of prohibited items.
- Provide supervision during extracurricular activities and graduation events.
- Foster positive relationships with security personnel, school staff, students, parents, and community members.
- Monitor alarm systems for emergencies and alert appropriate authorities when necessary.
- Issue warnings for minor infractions and take appropriate action against violators.
- Compile reports detailing daily activities and any irregularities, including property damage or unauthorized presence.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Consistent and timely attendance at the worksite is a fundamental requirement for this position.
Work Environment:
The work environment typically features a moderate noise level. Regular travel throughout the district is a key component of this role. Please note that remote work options are not available for campus-based positions, as on-site attendance is crucial.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least six months of relevant experience, preferably involving work with children, youth leadership, coaching, or counseling.
- Ability to identify public safety risks.
- Skills in conflict de-escalation are advantageous.
