Job Title: Manager, Finance Corporate Planning

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Finance Corporate Planning to join our team at Sony Interactive Entertainment. As a key member of our corporate planning team, you will be responsible for leading a team of analysts, preparing financial materials, managing assumptions related to salary and fringe benefits, analyzing headcount, and overseeing equity program expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of remote and hybrid analysts, providing guidance and oversight to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly actuals, forecasts, and budget materials for corporate functions.
  • Provide variance explanations on monthly actuals, identifying key drivers and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Handle and update assumptions loaded into the financial system, particularly those related to salary and fringe benefits.
  • Analyze headcount data and prepare reconciliations explanations.
  • Manage equity program expenditures, including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Stock Options (SOs).
  • Develop ROI strategies and leading practices.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Hire, coach, and mentor staff to achieve success, fostering a collaborative and inclusive high-performance culture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in corporate planning, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • 2-3 years of management experience preferred, including managing global and remote teams.
  • Flexible and can pivot as business needs change.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing remote/hybrid teams and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software (SAP, Adaptive, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Interest or background in the gaming industry is a plus.
