The Role

Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and testing of our complex medical devices.

This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to travel regularly to support multiple accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing, maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions to reduce system downtime
  • Maintaining effective communications with supervisor and peers in daily activities
  • Completing training as applicable for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related tasks
  • Following all applicable Quality and Safety procedures
  • Following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Maintaining company working areas and local environment in accordance with applicable general operating procedures
  • Ensuring that all measuring instruments used are within calibration limits
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, national, international, and company regulations, policies, and procedures for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis to support multiple accounts
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Ability to explain complicated technical information in simple terms
  • Comfortable interacting with medical professionals as well as engineers
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Experience with medical devices that include a significant software and electrical component
  • Familiarity with CT scan images and DICOM protocol standards
  • Start-up experience
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
