Field Service Engineer
The Field Service Engineer is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and testing of our complex medical devices.
This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to travel regularly to support multiple accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installing, maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions to reduce system downtime
- Maintaining effective communications with supervisor and peers in daily activities
- Completing training as applicable for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related tasks
- Following all applicable Quality and Safety procedures
- Following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Maintaining company working areas and local environment in accordance with applicable general operating procedures
- Ensuring that all measuring instruments used are within calibration limits
- Ensuring compliance with all local, national, international, and company regulations, policies, and procedures for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance
- BS in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis to support multiple accounts
- Excellent debugging skills
- Ability to explain complicated technical information in simple terms
- Comfortable interacting with medical professionals as well as engineers
- Team player with excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
- Experience with medical devices that include a significant software and electrical component
- Familiarity with CT scan images and DICOM protocol standards
- Start-up experience
- Experience in a customer-facing role
