POSITION OVERVIEW

ABOUT YOU
You possess a strong background in grant writing and are adept at identifying innovative funding opportunities for the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the drafting and preparation of grant applications, acknowledgment letters, letters of intent, partnership agreements, communications with funding sources, and budget narratives.
  • Analyze and interpret Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Applications (RFAs) to guide decisions throughout the grant lifecycle.
  • Utilize online database systems in the absence of the grants contract manager.
  • Organize grant-related meetings, including sending invitations and reserving meeting spaces.
  • Assist with all private and UJA grant submissions, which includes formatting draft narratives into application templates, compiling necessary attachments, and coordinating budget information with the finance team.
  • Manage relationships with Private Foundation grants and support staff in maintaining connections with funders.
  • Oversee the preparation of Mid-Year and Final Reports for UJA and Private Foundations, collaborating with program staff to ensure timely submissions.
  • Monitor and track awards from Private and UJA sources.
  • Provide assistance with city, state, and federal contracts as required.
  • Engage in budget development activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance of existing contracts and initiate new agreements.
  • Maintain charts and graphs to monitor submission data and funding awards.
  • Support daily operations of the Development Department, including administrative tasks and assisting the Grants Director with various projects.
  • Work closely with the Contract Manager, Grants Specialist, Maintenance Supervisor, Chief Financial Officer, and NYS Contract Manager on Homeland Security Contracts. Responsibilities include drafting application narratives, running advertisements, liaising with vendors, submitting quarterly reports, and collecting materials for reimbursement submissions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications and systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Adaptable and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with DocuSign.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in budgeting processes.
COMPENSATION
Annual salary range is $35,000 to $37,500.
