Educational Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.

Experience Requirements:
At least 1 year of supervisory experience in Long Term Care as an RN, with strong leadership abilities and excellent clinical competencies.

Licensure and Certification:
Valid, unrestricted RN license in New York State. Current CPR and IV certifications required.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensures that new admissions are processed thoroughly and that all necessary assessments are conducted.
Engages in inspections (surveys) conducted by authorized agencies.
Participates in and ensures proper assessment of residents, validating the clinical decisions made by nursing staff.
Contributes to the development, implementation, and communication of residents' care plans.

Conducts regular rounds on nursing units to ensure all staff are fulfilling their responsibilities in line with established nursing standards, and that all residents' needs are adequately addressed.

Oversees documentation practices of nursing personnel. Addresses problem areas with staff and provides oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.
