Job Summary

Montana Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Designer/Distance Learning Coordinator to join our team. This is a critical role that will play a key part in shaping the future of our online learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality online courses that meet the needs of our students and faculty.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure that online courses are aligned with our institution's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to faculty on the use of learning technologies, including Proctorio, Panopto, and Zoom.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in education and provide recommendations for their implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of our institution's online learning strategy and ensure that it is aligned with our overall mission and vision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in online course design and development, including experience with learning management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with quality assurance processes and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in higher education, particularly in online learning.
  • Experience with Moodle and Canvas learning management systems.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures, including Quality Matters.
