SUMMARY

Provide assistance in food preparation, kitchen upkeep, and, when necessary, food delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare meals by adhering to established recipes and perform basic calculations to adjust portion sizes.

Portion and package prepared meals for distribution.

Deliver food items as required.

Handle phone inquiries and engage with clients (child care providers); support clients during food collection.

Organize stock and assist with grocery shopping when needed.

Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area (wash cookware, operate dishwashing equipment, sanitize work surfaces, clean storage areas, and manage waste disposal).

Adhere to Health Department regulations during food handling, storage, and kitchen operations.

Carry out additional tasks as directed by agency management.

Ensure confidentiality regarding information related to CCSA clients, staff, or Board members.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to follow instructions while also taking initiative when appropriate.

Capability to stand for extended periods and lift weights up to 50 pounds occasionally, and 20 to 40 pounds multiple times daily, while using hands for various tasks.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma with a minimum of one year of experience in a kitchen environment.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Access to a vehicle; valid non-suspended driver's license and current automobile liability insurance.

Adherence to health and hygiene standards.

No history of substantiated child abuse or neglect allegations.

Current tuberculosis screening.

Full vaccination against COVID-19.
