Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and reconcile Front Office accounting records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Compile and summarize financial information for the hotel's financial records, tracking room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other Front Office operating statistics.
  • Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotel's financial performance for the day.
  • Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts, including guest transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously during check-in, check-out, and throughout their stay.
  • Process guests' check-ins and check-outs, assign rooms for the day, and assist with booking reservations and cancellations as needed.
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts, verifying all account postings and balances.
  • Print and file reservations for the next business day.
  • Track room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other Front Office statistics.
  • Prepare and verify postings and documents for accuracy.
  • Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
  • Follow the End of Day/Night Audit Checklist.
  • Perform wake-up calls.
  • Run end-of-day processes in property management software (PMS).
  • Stay current on hotel developments by reviewing communications to each shift.
  • Minimize loss of revenue by adhering to established credit and inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure adherence to hotel credit limits and verify accuracy of registration information.
  • Adhere to hotel policies regarding cash banks, drop/deposit logs, and other financial procedures.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and meet standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any safety issues to management immediately.
  • Operate and drive shuttle (as applicable by property).
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, with hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form.
  • Effective communication skills in English to interact with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of reservation and POS systems.
  • Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred.
  • Multi-tasking and detail-oriented skills.
  • Team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (as applicable by property).
