Job Summary
The Corewell Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Genetics Program Director to lead our Medical Genetics Program. As a Section Chief, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and direction to our team of medical geneticists, genetic counselors, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership and direction to the Medical Genetics Program
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in medical genetics
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient program operations
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of medical geneticists and genetic counselors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified in Biochemical Genetics
- Physician License (MD)/Osteopathic Physician (DO)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
