Job Title: Store Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Sales Associate to join our team at The Salvation Army Central Territory. As a Store Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer service areas.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
  • Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up displays and maintaining store displays.
  • Participate in inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management, and coworkers.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of the Point of Sales System and other programs adopted by The Salvation Army Central Territory.
  • Ability to give change accurately and handle cash transactions.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
