- Issue Resolution: Analyze root causes of plating issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- System Operations: Manage the operation of waste treatment systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the surface treatment department.
- Operational Adjustments: Interpret readings from meters and gauges to make necessary adjustments to processes, while maintaining detailed operational logs.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of machinery and equipment, including alarms and safety systems.
- Inventory Management: Maintain records of chemical usage, equipment history, and spare parts inventory to optimize operations.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all chemical deliveries adhere to safety standards and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized treatment facility.
- Project Support: Assist in planning and executing maintenance projects and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidates should possess a one-year certificate from a college or technical school, along with at least one year of relevant experience or a suitable combination of education and experience.
Skills Required:
- Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in writing reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication skills for presenting information to groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic plumbing and maintenance skills.
- Familiarity with technology and software applications related to inventory and manufacturing.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent standing, walking, and reaching, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds and team lifting of up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes, and varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided by the company.
