Job Overview

Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer in Test to join our team in support of a large Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) nationwide program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test automation strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Develop and execute automated tests using Selenium and other tools to validate software functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to improve the development pipeline and ensure seamless integration.
  • Identify and prioritize areas for test automation, creating test plans and procedures to meet project requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure test automation aligns with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in automated software development and testing.
  • Proficiency in Java, C#, or Python, with experience in Selenium and other automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EDI and financial transaction systems.
  • Knowledge of MUMPS, VistA, and other VA systems.

Security Clearance Requirements: Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is required for this opportunity.
