About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Southeast Primary Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist with a wide range of patient care activities, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and providing administrative support to our healthcare team.
  • Clinical Support: Perform various clinical tasks, such as setting up equipment, administering injections and medications, and collecting and processing laboratory samples.
  • Communication: Deliver excellent customer service and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program at time of hire (with certification) or within 180 days of employment.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required; Non-Certified Medical Assistants will be considered with a completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and competency assessments.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
