Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, triage, and resolve patient concerns using the established HEART Model, ensuring a remarkable experience for each patient.
- Create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for patients and visitors by exemplifying outstanding customer service aligned with Cleveland Clinic's START with Heart model.
- Proactively address the needs of patients and visitors in waiting areas, engaging with patients and resolving issues as they arise.
- Conduct patient registration, pre-visit tasks, insurance verification, and scheduling in accordance with established guidelines to ensure accuracy and an exceptional patient experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform point-of-service activities such as visit preparation, co-pay collection, and patient tracking, ensuring accuracy and an outstanding experience.
- Facilitate billing functions while adhering to compliance and organizational quality standards.
- Maintain confidential and accurate patient information, including insurance and billing details.
- Encourage patient use of front-end technology, providing guidance and hands-on training.
- Support the utilization of technology to enhance understanding and comfort among caregivers and providers.
- Participate in patient outreach initiatives, including proactive calls to assist with health maintenance.
- Engage in process improvement efforts and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing, or customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Associate's Degree may substitute for one year of experience; Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the experience requirement.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate a PC and other office equipment.
- Requires extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting.
- Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Adhere to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
