Position Overview:

Merrick & Company is seeking a Licensed Architectural Professional to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for managing client projects that necessitate U.S. Citizenship.

The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of architectural design and construction documentation, along with the adaptability to oversee both immediate tasks and extensive projects. This position requires a blend of creativity and advanced technical skills. A successful candidate will be proactive, motivated, innovative, and articulate, excelling in a fast-paced and challenging environment. They will be responsible for the complete architectural production and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout all project phases, ensuring high standards in Federal projects from initial planning to final construction administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of architectural production and BIM for Federal assignments.
  • Deliver architectural designs for governmental facilities under the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Energy (DoE), as well as NASA projects supporting the Space Launch System (SLS).
  • Lead design and production initiatives for large-scale or intricate projects.
  • Guide and mentor junior architects and designers.
  • Coordinate design efforts and ensure quality assurance through conceptual studies, program requirements, design analyses, calculations, specification writing, and construction document preparation.
  • Participate in client meetings and present design proposals.
  • Conduct code reviews and manage project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience, including at least two (2) years as a Licensed Architect.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LEED Accredited Professional.
  • Master's degree in architecture.
  • Local candidates are encouraged to apply.
