As a small business, Planate specializes in planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services, primarily supporting the missions of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and various federal agencies.

In the role of Senior Architectural Consultant, you will take on the responsibilities of the project architect for significant rehabilitation projects. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering architectural and construction quality assurance as well as technical oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical inspections of architectural components to ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Monitor onsite construction activities to verify proper installation and execution of construction elements.
- Track construction progress, prepare weekly reports, and provide informed recommendations based on technical evaluations.
- Execute quality assurance tasks, ensuring that corrective measures are implemented as necessary.
- Review contractor submissions for compliance with contractual obligations.
- Oversee the construction contractor's quality assurance and safety protocols.
- Provide technical inspections of architectural features and interpret discipline-specific drawings.
- Identify and address coordination challenges with other disciplines.
- Prepare detailed construction reports outlining progress and solutions for any identified issues.
- Collaborate effectively with the Project Director and Construction Manager.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of U.S. standards, acceptable products, and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required for this position.

Qualifications for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
- At least seven (7) years of experience in construction projects of similar scope and value; overseas experience is advantageous.
- A valid security clearance (Final Secret, Interim Top Secret, or Final Top Secret) issued by DCSA is required.
- Proficiency in reading design and construction drawings, along with an understanding of design narratives and calculations.
- Familiarity with International Codes and Construction Safety regulations (e.g., EM, OSHA).
- Experience in assessing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI).
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Strong skills in interpreting drawings, conducting technical inspections, and resolving construction-related challenges.
- Must legally reside in the United States and be eligible for employment.
