About the Role:
This newly established position offers the opportunity to take full responsibility for health and safety across multiple sites. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safety of numerous fans, staff, and visitors during significant events.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and uphold comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to support various departments.
• Serve as the main contact for health and safety inquiries from employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Compile, review, and manage all health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Stay informed about HSE legislation and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Analyze health and safety data to produce reports and implement strategies for a safer environment.
• Record and investigate incidents, using findings to mitigate future risks.
• Collaborate with HR to deliver and maintain thorough health and safety training programs for all personnel.
• Conduct health and safety audits, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
• Perform regular site inspections to verify the correct implementation of policies and procedures.
• Oversee the application of health and safety policies during large-scale events, focusing on crowd safety and incident prevention.
• Communicate positive health and safety performance to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and engagement.
• Introduce innovative ideas while maintaining high health and safety standards.
• Support HR with occupational health issues and risk assessments.
• Promote equality and inclusion within the workplace, fostering an inclusive culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
• NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.
• Proven experience in managing health and safety for large, multi-site operations.
• Extensive experience in crowd safety management and overseeing large-scale events.
• Strong understanding of data protection legislation and relevant health and safety systems.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
