Overview
Shift: Week Days, Monday - Thursday (4:00am-4:00pm)
Compensation: $19.77/hr
*Climate controlled environment
Position Summary: The Ingredient Blending Specialist is tasked with the precise combination of components to create sauces and dressings. This role involves operating mixing machinery, pumps, mills, and valves, adhering to the production schedule, and providing product samples to the quality assurance team as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit integrity, respect, and accountability towards all team members and visitors.
- Document necessary information accurately.
- Measure ingredients for the blending process.
- Interpret scales and perform mathematical calculations with precision.
- Utilize computer control panels to manage bulk ingredients and flow rates.
- Ensure standard production volumes for each item.
- Clean and sanitize equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor machinery for any malfunctions and report issues to maintenance personnel.
- Support other departments as needed.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Complete all required training to effectively perform job responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production is preferred.
- Must acquire certification for operating industrial trucks and lifts.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Basic mechanical skills and mathematical proficiency are essential.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Working Conditions/Environment
- Operates within a manufacturing setting.
- Must be capable of pushing/pulling 150 pounds over short distances.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
- Required to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours, with scheduled breaks.
- May need to work overtime and/or weekends as necessary.
- Regular exposure to various environmental conditions.
- Must wear safety equipment as per company regulations.
