Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate mixing equipment, pumps, mills, and valves to produce high-quality products.
  • Maintain proper production schedule and provide product samples to the lab as specified.
  • Weigh ingredients for mixing process and record all information as required.
  • Roll or push ingredient drums and pallets to weigh and prepare for each batch according to schedule and specifications.
  • Read scales and perform arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Operate HMI's (computer panel controls) to regulate and control bulk ingredients and pumping flows.
  • Maintain standard production quantities/rates for each product.
  • Clean and rinse equipment according to specified procedures.
  • Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions and communicate mechanical problems to maintenance.
  • Mount supplies on spindles or place supplies in hoppers or other feeding devices.
  • Coordinate information and equipment with prior and next shifts, leads, and other departments.
  • Fulfill other duties/responsibilities as assigned by lead and management.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain industrial truck and lift operating certification and safely maintain per company and OSHA standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively – verbally & written – to and work well with Team Members & Management.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and strong math skills are required.
  • Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions/Environment
  • Works in a manufacturing environment where the Team Member is regularly required to speak, read, and comprehend, stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb, and bend while working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to push/pull 150 pounds short distances.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds repetitively.
  • Stand for up to 12 hours with regular breaks.
  • May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment, and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap.
  • SLIP-RESISTANT/Steel-toed SHOES, Earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists) are required to be worn/used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards.
