Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital member of our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Corporate FP&A Manager and serve as the primary financial partner for leaders across the General & Administrative (G&A) division of New Relic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with Business Leaders throughout New Relic's G&A sectors, including People Operations, Accounting, Legal, Finance, IT, Security, Procurement, and Business Applications, to oversee their budgets and facilitate their strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Corporate FP&A to ensure accurate management of all G&A-related financials during month-end closing activities, encompassing headcount, operating expenses, capital expenditures, variance analyses, and forecasting.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly reporting packages, scrutinizing trends, drivers, variances, and pinpointing areas for enhancement from both business and financial viewpoints.
  • Coordinate with Recruiting to ensure that the hiring plans of key leaders are accurately captured while maintaining fiscal responsibility throughout the recruitment process.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for enhancements in financial processes.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analytics, public accounting, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying intricate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in financial analysis and data flow analysis.
  • A self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude, comfortable with inquiry and eager to challenge the status quo and solve problems.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results in an unstructured environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy and precision, complemented by strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the technology sector, preferably within software.
  • Familiarity with Anaplan or other financial planning software.
  • Knowledge of the NetSuite accounting system.
  • Prior experience in business partnering.
  • Basic SQL or query skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated base pay range for this position is $99,000 - $124,000, with eligibility for a corporate bonus plan. Pay may vary based on work location and job-related factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
