Audio Software Engineering Manager

As an Audio Software Engineering Manager at Meta, you will be responsible for managing a team of audio software engineers and helping them develop their careers. You will assign them to projects tailored to their skill levels, long-term skill development, personalities, and work styles.
You will also communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional hardware and software engineering teams. You will champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.
Additionally, you will set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.
You will work closely with dedicated recruiting staff to expand the team, including sourcing candidates, interviewing candidates, participating in conferences/events, and on-boarding new employees.
Finally, you will drive development initiatives that combine DSP and ML audio processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a team of audio software engineers and help them develop their careers

Requirements:
2+ years experience managing and recruiting technical teams, including performance management
8+ years experience in software development with C/C++
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of experience developing, coaching, and managing engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in embedded audio software development
Experience in digital signal processing
Experience with machine learning techniques and deep learning models
Experience developing audio solutions in Python or Matlab
Knowledge in audio capture or render algorithms for consumer devices
Compensation:
$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
