Sentara PACE in Norfolk, VA is seeking a skilled Dietitian Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for assessing participant nutritional needs and developing care plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
About the JobThis is a full-time position requiring a strong background in nutrition and experience working with patients, healthcare teams, and food service staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
You will assess participant nutritional needs, monitor food service operations, collaborate with other disciplines to monitor dietary orders and changes, coordinate meal delivery with food service workers, conduct assessments in facilities and the community, and monitor quality metrics and maintain contact with vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Assess Participant Nutritional Needs: Develop individualized care plans to address participants' nutritional needs and promote optimal health outcomes.
- Monitor Food Service Operations: Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards by monitoring food service operations.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with healthcare teams to monitor dietary orders and changes, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Coordinate Meal Delivery: Coordinate meal delivery with food service workers to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
- Conduct Assessments: Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhanced care through regular assessments in facilities and the community.
$62,400 - $83,300 per year, depending on experience.
A Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics is required, with completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics required if degree is in a major other than Dietetics. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) certification is also required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
