Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nutrition Care Professional to join our team at Sentara PACE in Norfolk, VA. This is a full-time Clinical Dietitian position responsible for assessing participant nutritional needs and developing care plans.

About the Role

This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition principles and ability to work with patients, healthcare teams, and food service staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing participant nutritional needs, monitoring food service operations, and collaborating with other disciplines to monitor dietary orders and changes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess Participant Nutritional Needs: Conduct comprehensive assessments of participants' nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  • Monitor Food Service Operations: Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with healthcare teams to monitor dietary orders and changes, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Coordinate Meal Delivery: Coordinate meal delivery with food service workers to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
  • Conduct Assessments: Conduct assessments in facilities and the community to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhanced care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics required; completion of an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics required if degree is in a major other than Dietetics.
  • Certification: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Registered Dietitian (RD) certification required.
  • Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
Salary and Benefits

$62,400 - $83,300 per year, depending on experience.
