Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Sonographer II to join our team at Houston Methodist. This role requires a strong background in non-invasive vascular sonography, with the ability to perform routine to advanced exams, including transcranial Doppler (TCD). The successful candidate will be a member of our direct patient care team, working independently to provide exceptional patient care and adhering to sonography standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform non-invasive vascular sonograms, applying vascular sonography knowledge and skills to each clinical situation.
  • Provide care for the physical needs of patients, executing various sonography concepts to maximize performance.
  • Follow imaging and sonography safety standards, conducting all imaging procedures accordingly.
  • Ensure all imaging equipment has had QC performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • Three years' experience as a Vascular Sonographer.
  • ARRT-VS, RVS, or RVT certification, and BLS certification.
